Bexhill Hospital building plans

A TWO-STOREY redevelopment of Bexhill's day hospital is among major proposals for the future of primary health care in the district.

The scheme could help provide medical cover for the newly-extended Irvine Unit's 55 beds and offer training for medical students.

Redundant B Ward at the hospital might be used for dentistry.

Bexhill and Rother Primary Care Trust is leading the development of future commissioning of out-of-hours services in both East Sussex and East Kent.

It is doing so on behalf of health social care partners in the two counties.
