Birdwatching successBird species spotted at Earnley nature reserve

The walk took place at the RSPB’s Nature Reserve of Medmerry at Earnley, which has 180 hectares of freshwater and tidal pools, intertidal saltmarsh, pasture and arable farmland, and is developing into a great birdwatching location. During the walk, skylarks sang loudly, a little owl was spotted in the distance, about 40 avocets were seen at a freshwater pool where there was also black-headed gulls. Two little ringed plovers were spotted, as well as a little gull, a white wagtail and a peregrine.
