Christmas at the castle: I feel that Christmas is for little people but the National Trust may not feel that way! Father Christmas will be in his grotto on December 10, 11, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21st but the schools will still be open as the last day of school is December 21.

Harvest: the harvest service is on October 2 at 11:15 AM at St Giles. Graham Attfield will take the service. The produce will go to the worthwhile charity The Seaview project. They help with short-term crisis accommodation and housing. If anyone would like to help with the decorating of the church or take produce to St Giles it will be open from 10 AM on October 1.

Football: the weekly five-aside football takes place every Thursday night at 7 PM. Call James on 830330 for more information.

Medicines: for some time now you’ve been able to get your doctors prescription from the Castle Inn. You don’t have to go into Hawkhurst as both the North Ridge and Wish Valley surgeries take in Bodiam and don’t forget the Castle Inn is open Saturdays and Sundays.
