Bognor Regis man scoops lottery win

A BOGNOR Regis taxi driver is celebrating after he won £77,872 on the lottery.

Andy Madden, 47, had a cracking start to 2013 after he matched five numbers and the bonus ball in the Lotto draw on January 5.

But the win is just the start of what looks to be a bumper year for the cabbie as he plans to jet off to Thailand for his own wedding later this month.

Mr Madden said: “I have always said £100,000 would do me. While I might be just shy of that number, this win is such great news and will make a real difference to our lives.”

As well as using some of his winnings towards his dream wedding, Mr Madden has set funds aside for his two children and hopes to buy a new car.

Mr Madden plays the lotto every Saturday night using his own numbers on three lines plus four Lucky Dips.

The win came from one of the Lucky Dips.

Mr Madden bought his golden ticket in the Linden Stores on Linden Road.
