Litter Pick: How disappointing that out of 3.000 residents that only 4 turned out to pick up litter. It shows too, as there is still litter about, but 4 people can only achieve so much in 2 hours and 1 cut away the greenery that screened the Chitcombe Road sign. 4 big bags of litter was collected and 2 piles in the lay-bys are being picked up by Rother District Council. If you see litter as you walk or near your home please pick it up and bin it, so that we do not have eye sores in our Parish.

Bonfires: I have been contacted by a number of people to say they are fed up with people being inconsiderate and having bonfires during the day, spoiling their washing and not being able to have windows open or just sitting in the garden smelling smoke – most unpleasant. Please light them as it is getting dark no one will mind that. It is of coarse illegal to put anything toxic on a bonfire.
