Burgess Hill Christmas Hamper Project '“ can you help?

The iniative is to deliver festive hampers to more than 200 families and individuals in need this Christmas.
It has been organised by a group of organisations which include Burgess Hill District Lions Club, The King’s Church Mid-Sussex, Burgess Hill Food Bank, Burgess Hill Town Council, Burgess Hill Youth and Burgess Hill and District Rotary Club.

Hide AdA spokesman said: “Many more people on low incomes are struggling with the rising cost of living and Christmas can be a particularly difficult time with extra expense but no extra money.
“A partnership of local organisations is asking local businesses, schools, churches and others to collect items from a list of food needed to make up Christmas food boxes.
“The boxes will be delivered to over 200 families and individuals in the Burgess Hill area in time for Christmas.”
John Gee, Burgess Hill District Lions Club president, added: “Yes, there are families in need in our affluent community, so please let’s try and help to make it a happy and memorable Christmas for everyone.”

People can drop off their festive boxes at Tesco, The King’s Centre, the Help Point, Specsavers, Halifax, Janton News in Hurstpierpoint and Co-op in Maple Drive.
