Cash injection for North Bersted play areas

Play areas in North Bersted and Bognor Regis are to be improved with nearly £11,000 of work.

The Berghestede and Hampshire Avenue sites will benefit from the cash provided by the developers of nearby housing schemes.

Approval for the work to take place was given by councillors last week.

Berghestede will receive 8,000 worth of work and Hampshire Avenue will benefit from improvements costing 2,800.

Arun District Council's parks and greenspace officers will decide how best to spend the money. The council seeks contributions from developers for a range of services to ensure existing residents get some benefit from new housing.

The schemes which will provide the cash are along Shripney Road and Frith Road.
