Champion gymnast to visit Charters Ancaster

Olympic prospect Kieran Behan is to visit Charters Ancaster prepatory and nursery school on Tuesday.

The 19 year old gymnast is tipped as one of Britain's stars at London 2012 and it is hoped he might come away with a medal on a number of different apparatus.

Kieran currently trains at Tolworth Gymnastics club in Surrey. His strongest apparatus is the floor, and now one of Britain's strongest floor workers Kieran is excited about his chances in the next two years.

Kieran is now working towards both the World Championships in Tokyo and Commonwealth Games next October 2010 in India, and then the London 2012 Olympic Games. Kieran was the youngest ever British floor champion and is set to make a big future impact.

As part of Charters Ancaster Sports For All programme he will visit the school on September 22 and give a demonstration of his floor work to the pupils.

Kieran will also assist the children in completing their sponsored circuits.
