Charity Card Fair at Grosvenor Park

A Christmas Card Fair and coffee morning was held at Grosvenor Park to give residents and visitors an early start to the festive season.

Charities were invited to set up stall and sell their Christmas cards on Tuesday morning - taking the opportunity were St Michael's Hospice, British Heart Foundation, NSPCC, Cancer Research UK, Fairtrade campaigners from Christchurch Methodist Church, and Save The Children Fund.

Activities Organiser Chris Cox said: "This is our annual event to help the charities.

"It also means our residents can buy their own Christmas Cards. It is an opportunity for the public to come in, and have free admission and free coffee...Really it is a no-lose situation, because the charities win, the public wins, the residents win and we do too. Nobody loses."
