Charters Ancaster Catwalk

One hundred and thirty ticket holders attended a sell-out fashion show held by Charters Ancaster Friends - CAF (supporters of Charters Ancaster College of Gunters Lane Bexhill).

There was a huge 'buzz' at the event from the entry queue, through to the auditorium and the dressing rooms, and the catwalk saw a combination of professional models and friends, including Inez Laycock of Charters Ancaster's own staff.

High street fashion labels were presented and sold courtesy of Catwalk Connections who commented that this was one of the busiest events they had ever supported. With wine and refreshments organised by the CAF committee everybody was able to view, try on and buy clothes in a relaxed and convivial atmosphere.

Old girls, teachers past and present, parents and supporters of the school, including CAF's Chairman Sarah Norman, joined the audience and two recent old girls Isabel Kellett and Charlotte Thorkildsen presented flowers to the models after the show. Sponsors included local companies Clarke & Baker Surfacing LLP, Dorothy Marchant Florists, Beauty Haven, STARS Hair & Beauty Ltd, The Body Junction and Mr Floor.

A great raffle helped to boost the proceeds of the evening; treats at beauty salons, china, cosmetics and wine, and from a social, fund raising and public relations viewpoint the event was a huge success. Charters Ancaster would like to thank Glyne Gap School for the kind loan, at very short notice, of their school hall.
