Climping villagers in church survey

Dozens of Climping residents are to be asked how their church can help them.

A wide-ranging survey is about to be carried out on behalf of the parochial church council at St Mary's Church in the village.

A mission group set up by the council will be asking households around the church to comment about three issues.

These are:

* the social needs of each age group and if children would like to attend a Sunday school;

* which issues '“ such as family, money and health '“ matter most to people; and

* which style of church services people prefer.

Maureen Bravington, who heads the mission group, says in the latest church newsletter: "Our purpose is to discover how best the church may show the love of Christ by serving the community."

'Post boxes' will be available around the community in which the returns can be left.
