Felpham Village WI held their March meeting on Thursday, March 15, in the Village Memorial Hall.

President Pip Jones greeted members and guests. Notice was given of arrangements for the birthday lunch on May 3, to be held at Bondwood, a village restaurant. A menu was on display for members to make their choice of food.

Entertainment for the meeting was provided by Mrs Peggy Weeks.

A collection of hats from the many countries that Mrs Weeks had visited were distributed among members. Each hat had a number and there was a quiz as to which country the hat was from.

Member, Eve Standbridge was the winner. It was all good fun as many enjoyed modelling the hats.

Barbara Jones who celebrated her birthday on the day won the unusual hat competition as well as a raffle prize. Well done to Barbara who is a popular member.

Pip Jones reminded members that April sees the start of two monthly meetings.

At the first, on April 5, there will be a bring-and-buy stall, so contributions will be welcome. After tea and the raffle being drawn, the meeting ended.
