The procession will be led by the college Bloco Drumming Group, which most will remember from leading the Olympic Torch relay in Rye last year.

The procession starts at Rye College at 11am, proceeding through the Landgate, High Street, The Mint, Wish Ward, Station Approach, Cinque Ports Street, Rope Walk and returning to College for approximately 12.15pm.

Harriet Catt, from the College, said: “There will be a rolling road closure in place, which we we hope will not cause too much disruption.”

Rye residents are encouraged to line the streets and enjoy the spectacle.
