Coronavirus deaths in East Sussex hospitals rises

The number of coronavirus-related deaths in East Sussex hospitals has risen.

Sixty five people have now died in connection with the virus, East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust announced today (May 5).

It is the first death reported since last Friday (May 1), when the total was 64.

Meanwhile, the number of confirmed cases of covid-19 in East Sussex is recorded as 613 people.

It comes as the total confirmed infected in the UK has risen to 194,990 – according to Public Health England.

The number of people who have died in connection with the virus in the UK currently stands at 29,427 people.
