Burglary round up: Thieves break into Eastbourne hotel

Thieves broke into an Eastbourne hotel by smashing a window and then searched the premises for goods.

Police said the incident happened in the small hours on Friday May 8, where suspects took electronic equipment and a television from the Marine Parade hotel.

Only one other burglary has been reported by police in the last week, where a bicycle was stolen from a garage in Neville Road. Police said the garage door had been prized open and they believe it happened between Friday (May 8) and Tuesday (May 12).

Police have urged burglary victims to report it online, or by calling 101 – always dial 999 in an emergency or if a burglary is in action.
