Burglary roundup: Thieves steal tools from Eastbourne property

Thieves broke into an Eastbourne house and stole tools from inside, say police.

Officers said the incident happened on June 28 in Rosebery Avenue.

Sussex Police have reported four other recent burglaries in the town.

A garage in Beatty Road was broken into and a bicycle was stolen between May 31 and June 29, according to police.

Officers said a shed in Mountfield Road was targeted by thieves, who stole various items between June 28 and June 29.

Another burglary happened in Mountfield Road on Monday (June 29), where a shed was broken into and tools stolen.

And in Cavendish Road, police said tools were stolen from an outbuilding on Monday (June 29).

A Sussex Police spokesperson said victims of a burglary can report it online, or by calling 101 - and they urged people to always dial 999 when an emergency/burglary is in action.
