Chichester traveller camp: Police officers carrying out 'additional patrols'

Police officers will be conducting 'additional patrols' after a group of travellers arrived in Chichester on Sunday night (June 7).

Chichester District Council said on Monday that it was liaising with Sussex Police and West Sussex County Council after the travellers pitched up on the green at New Park Road. Read more here Sussex Police confirmed that officers have attended the site to 'complete assessments' and are liaising with the group and the council.

A spokesperson added: "Additional patrols will be carried out in the area."
