Police said all three burglaries happened while the occupants were sleeping upstairs.

According to Sussex Police, a number of items were taken during the burglaries, including handbags and purses containing bank cards and cash, cigarettes and trainers.

Police said CCTV footage from a house next door to one of the victims captured a man trying the door handles at that address, before moving on to the victim’s property. Police later identified the man as Passmore.
