A police spokesperson said: “Robert Hepburn, 27, of The Fieldings, Southwater, has been charged with 11 offences of causing teenage boys to engage in sexual activity, seven offences of making indecent images of children, and one offence of possessing a prohibited image.

“He appeared on bail at Crawley Magistrates Court on June 25 and was committed to crown court for an initial hearing on a date which has not yet been set.

“The prosecution does not involve allegations of any physical offences against children and there is no evidence to suggest that any children are currently at risk.”
