Three people released following armed police incident in Eastbourne

Three people arrested following an incident in Eastbourne have been released without any further action taken, Sussex Police have confirmed.

Officers stopped a vehicle in Seaside shortly after 3pm today (Saturday, December 26).

A police spokesman said the vehicle’s three occupants were ‘safely’ detained. However, no offences were identified, according to police.

All three were identified and released with no further action being taken, police said.

A spokesman for Sussex Police added: “The incident was reported with good intentions, and we’d like to thank members of the public for their patience and understanding while we dealt with it.”
