Wick man charged with GBH

POLICE have charge a Wick man with assault causing grievous bodily harm with intent, following an incident in Littlehampton on Saturday, November 5.

Christopher Stone, 25, of Elspring Mead, appeared before Worthing magistrates on November 14, and is also charged with possessing an offensive weapon. He was remanded in custody for trial in February.

A 19-year-old man from Littlehampton and a 24-year-old man from Twickenham, both arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, have been bailed until November 26.

Police are still seeking witnesses to an incident that happened in Arundel Road, Littlehampton, at about 8.30pm on November 5, in which a 26-year-old Littlehampton man received stab injuries to his face, back and arms. He was treated at Worthing Hospital and released.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Sussex Police on 101, quoting Operation Mallard, or the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
