Woman charged with £12,000 theft from Gatwick

A shop worker alleged to have stolen thousands of pounds worth of jewellery from her employer at Gatwick Airport is due to appear in court next month, police say.

A statement from Sussex Police said: “Lavanyah Anandarooban, 23, of Palace Parade, Walthamstow, London, is charged with stealing various items of designer jewellery and a Radley purse, to the total value of £12,000, from the South Terminal between January and July 2016.

“She is due to appear before Crawley Magistrates’ Court, charged with theft by employee, on Wednesday 10 August.”
