Crowhurst digger and Icklesham hedge on fire

Firefighters were called to a hedge alight in Icklesham this morning and a digger on fire in Crowhurst yesterday.

One East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service appliance from The Ridge, Hastings, was sent to put out the hedge on Rye Road at around 8.30am.

Last night (Monday, August 8), Battle firefighters were sent to Station Road, Crowhurst, following reports of a digger on fire at about 5.25pm.

The crew used one hose reel jet to tackle the fire.
