Cyclist is pelted with eggs from car

A CYCLIST riding along Wrestwood Road, Bexhill, was pelted with eggs thrown from a black car at the junction with Chapel Walk. The incident happened at around 11.15pm last Friday, April 22 and police are appealing for help in tracing the person responsible.

PC Charlotte Cox, of Bexhill police, said: “Distracting a cyclist on the road by throwing any sort of object is potentially very dangerous.”

The eggs were thrown from the driver’s window as the car travelled in the opposite direction to the male cyclist. The vehicle is described as being a black hatchback with a loud exhaust and tinted windows, driven by a white driver.
