Drug Arrest

The East Sussex Division Local Support Team executed a warrant at a house last Friday in which class A drugs with a street value of 1,200 were seized as well as 400 in cash.

Michael Hallett, 32, a mechanic, of Wickham Avenue, was charged and bailed to appear before Eastbourne and Hailsham Magistrates Court on September 10 2007.

A 37 year-old man has been given police bail pending further enquiries. A woman was arrested and later released without charge.

Detective Inspector Ian Williams of Eastbourne CID said: "The seizure of drugs represents our continued effort in tackling the supply of class A drugs in Eastbourne."
