Eco-town protesters form group

MEMBERS of the community in Ford and neighbouring villages and towns have joined forces to set up a united campaign against the proposed eco-town.

Residents of Ford, Yapton, Clymping and Arundel met earlier this month and agreed to form Communities Against Ford Eco-Town (Cafe).

The campaign is being backed by Arundel and South Downs MP Nick Herbert and Bognor and Littlehampton MP Nick Gibb.

Residents from other neighbouring towns and villages, including Littlehampton, Bognor Regis, Felpham, Middleton-on-Sea and Barnham, are being encouraged to join the campaign.

People will also be able to voice their opposition to the eco-town at a march and rally on June 7. More details will be available nearer the time.
