The climate action group will march from the Market Cross and along West Street to County Hall on Valentine's Day (February 14).

Once protesters have arrived at County Hall they will call on county councillors, in a full council meeting, to divest from fossil fuels.

One of the group's member Fay Pisani said the group plan on giving a 'harder push' in calling for the council to divest "I don't think it is on the agenda but we know that all the council will be at that meeting and it is an open meeting.

"It is in the county council's interests to divest."

The march has been organised as a 'regional' event, meaning all Extinction Rebellion members in the south east have been invited.

"It would be great if we could get more than a hundred people at the event," Fay added.
