Eye test saved our son's life

A ROUTINE eye check saved the life of a Worthing schoolboy after he went to an opticians complaining of headaches.

Now the family of 14-year-old Rory Callan are full of praise for the Specsavers optician, Amit Kamboh, who identified a potentially-lethal swelling in Rory's head.

Rory, of Palmers Way, High Salvington, subsequently underwent a 2-hour operation to tackle a chronic sub-dural haemorrhage which was putting pressure on the brain. He is now fully recovered.
