Mark Jones has spent the past 18 months juggling his job as a care worker by day and film-maker by night to create the feature-length film.

Mr Jones, 31, who lives in Findon with wife Helen and son Max, eight, said: "I wrote the script with Worthing in mind. It features the Dome Cinema, the library, the seafront and Montague Street."

The film makes its British premiere at the Dome on Saturday evening.

Mr Jones was given special permission to show it by Worthing Council because he couldn't afford the British Board of Film Classification fee for nationwide release.

Chris Ellison from The Bill stars alongside Hugh Lloyd in the film. Asked why he made the film, Mr Jones said: "A British movie these days is either a gangster film or a romantic comedy starring Hugh Grant. This is one of those films that all the family can enjoy."
