Fire at Bognor Regis Pier

The fire this morning (Tuesday, April 29) was started in a wheelie bin to the side of the pier buildings, underneath the stair fire escape at around 1.55am causing exterior damage.

Firefighters attended promptly and the fire was extinguished, preventing more extensive damage.

Sceneguards are still in place at the pier whilst the scene is examined and a 32-year-old man from Bognor Regis is in custody.
