Getting to the guts of the matter

Led by consultant Dr Adam Stone, the evening will cover the diagnosis, treatment and lifestyle aspects of the simplest to the most serious conditions of the upper gut.

The evening starts at 7.30pm in the waiting area of Maywood Healthcare Centre in Hawthorn Road.

Space is limited to 60 and free tickets should be collected from the reception area at Maywood surgery.

Patient group chairman Peter Coles said: 'Our evening in May on skin care was very successful. We were wrong then to warn of the possibility of a hot summer but this time there's no doubt many people will have gut problems however well they eat.'

Dr Stone will cover the medical aspects and senior nutritionist Sue Durrant will talk about diet. There will be both expert advice and time for plenty of questions.
