Horsham teen makes documentary after Youth Award success

The film, which focuses on the lives of three different individuals including the life of Sir Charles Burrell, owner of the Knepp Estate, near Horsham, and one of the heads of the Rewilding Britain project.

The documentary called Living a Lifestyle also looks at the lives of self-made Brighton millionaire Robbie Raggio and Sultan Al Saud, a member of Team Galag, who are participating in the Gumball 3000 rally.

Sam, 16, said: “The idea was to show the lifestyles of different individuals from different backgrounds, captured in an interesting and inspirational way that would fascinate a vast range of viewers.”

Sam has been taking photos since he was two years old when his mum gave him a camera to take photos with.

He began filming when given a video camera aged 11 and was producing short films of his own using professional editing software, initially focusing on extreme sport.

He said: “For years and years every weekend of my summer was spent riding my mountainboard, and filming friends flipping and spinning over huge jumps and tracks.”

Sam began shooting other topics to further explore his talent leading to the release of his first full length documentary at 16 years old.
