Hospicecampaignfor bettermattresses
St Michael’s Hospice have launched an appeal to raise funds to ensure all patients have high quality, pressure relieving mattresses, enabling higher levels of comfort and pain relief.
Hospice Matron Jenny Wratten said: “We constantly endeavour to stay up to date with the very latest advances in clinical technology in a bid to provide the very best for all of our patients and many of our current mattresses are fast approaching a point where they are no longer suitable.”
Each specialist mattress costs £1,500. The hospice has already raised £10,000 toward its £27,000 goal but needs more help.
