Half of the council's 32 seats were up for election, with Labour coming out on top.
The final overall count for the local authority is now Labour: 16, Conservatives: 14 and Lib Dem: 1.
The 32nd seat will be elected later this year following the sad death of Conservative councillor Roy Rucker earlier this month.
