Ladies Day comes to Bexhill

This is the third year that the ladies, who all work at Buzz hairdressers, have celebrated the event.

They take a day off work and are provided with their very own 'reserved' table courtesy of Ladbrokes in Western Road, where they have the best seats in the house to view the screens which show the races throughout the day.

In addition they partake of refreshments including strawberries and fancy cakes and bet on all the races.

To mark the occasion, the ladies wore a range of stunning hats, all hand-made from scratch by talented stylist Sally Bigmore.

Between races a buffet spread was provided in the gardens of Sue and Alfredo's caf.

Manager of Buzz, Hayley Johnson, said the ladies had a great day, and they clearly have a nose for a good runner as she they all picked a winner on nearly all the races.

Hayley said: " It's all for fun but we did really well from our small stakes of around 3 per race. It was a fantastic day, both Ladbrokes and Sue and Alfredo did us proud and really looked after us."

Next year the ladies plan to stick with what's becoming something of a tradition and celebrate the special event again but plan to raise money for a chosen charity.
