Lions sign-post way for playgroup

Jill Brain, manager of the Playgroup, and also Northiam Nursery approached Rye and District Lions Club to see if they could help with funding the sign and the Lions were pleased to donate £100 towards the cost of the sign.

The attractive sign has now been installed and the Lions were invited to its “unveiling” and to meet the staff and children.

Rye Lions will be raising more funds for good causes by collecting outside supermarkets in Rye, Peasmarsh and Hawkhurst just before Christmas and will be holding their annual Brass Band Concert, in Beckley Village Hall on Friday January 27.

Beckley Pre-School Manager, Jill Brain, said “Our Play Group operates Monday to Friday from 0900 to 1200 and we have vacancies for children from two years. Any parent interested can contact me on 01797 260582 during playgroup hours.”
