Middleton's deteriorating seafront

Copies of the publication are being provided to local MP Nick Gibb, Arun District Council and all members of the association.

Three of its representatives, including chairman David Szynowski met one of their district councillors, Barbara Oakley, and Middleton Parish Council clerk David Allsopp on the seafront to view the damage caused by recent storms.

Cllr Mrs Oakley agreed to press Arun to place rocks at the base of the affected breastwork to dissipate the sea's energy.

She said the real problem lay with the government's Defra for a lack of funding. The district council was doing its best with limited resources.
