More homes planned for Flansham

David Wilson Homes already has permission to build 61 additional homes as part of phase five and six of the Gullivers Mead development, to the north of Felpham.

Now a fresh application has been submitted to increase that number to 94, an addition of 33.

David Wilson also wants to adjust the size of the properties it builds, increasing the amount of two and three bedroom homes to ‘make the mix of homes more representative of current demand’.

“We are seeking to make better use of the land by providing a different mix which better meets the needs of the local community and is consistent with the approach adopted across the development,” David Wilson said in the design and access statement as part of the application. “The scheme will provide a distinctive new and sustainable residential community for Felpham..”

The new application seeks to abandon plans for any five bedroom plans, to use more ‘modestly sized’ four bedroom homes, increase the number of three bedroom units and add a number of two bedroom homes.
