Mum dies, daughter survives car crash

A MOTHER from Sidley died after a freak car accident in Crowhurst on February 23.

Tracey Graham's Rover Metro left the road and collided with a tree and a road sign coming out of the village at Sandrock Hill at around 3.25pm. Her nine-year-old daughter, a pupil at All Saints Primary School in Sidley, was in the backseat of the car but escaped the crash without injury.

The fire brigade used cutting equipment to take the roof off the car to free the mother and daughter trapped inside.
