Asda a sorry loss...
IT WAS interesting to read in last week's Observer that Arun District Council was considering the compulsory purchase of the land at Shripney where Asda wanted to build a new store in 2008 and where they were willing to provide the infrastructure for a business park.
This announcement came in the same week the Worthing Herald published details that the new Asda is to open in Ferring!
People west of the river will ask why Arun lost the opportunity to have Asda and around 500 jobs on the outskirts of Bognor Regis, let alone the free business park and office space?
Once again Bognor Regis has lost out! What is going on?
