Town meeting was credit to the Council
The Observer has attended many town meetings over the years and is pleased to report Rye Council has hit on a winning formula.
Gone were the lengthy reports by councillors (people could take away printed versions of these).

It resulted in many issues being explored in a positive and constructive way and helped everyone to focus on the issues that really matter in the town.
Praise too must go to current Rye Mayor Bernardine Fiddimore.
We cannot remember when Rye last had such a hands-on and proactive Mayor.

With a new education quarter announced this week things are looking very positive for the town this year and it is still only March.
