John will be keenly missed

Just to express my deep shock and sadness at the very sad loss of Cllr Hodges.

I came across John on various committees over the years, the last one being the St Helen’s Residents Association committee, where John was always a very active and valued member of this committee.

On a personal level, I can only state that John possessed the integrity which is unfortunately so lacking nowadays.

He loved Hastings and gave a very interesting talk to the St Helen’s residents about Hastings and its pier, which he was so keen to get up and running again.

I am sure he will be keenly missed by all that had the good fortune to meet up with one of nature’s true gentlemen. Rest In Peace John.
