The campaign is intended to be a celebration of the Queen’s 90th birthday, her actual birthday on the 21st April and her official birthday in June.

The Friends of Chesworth Farm in Horsham have always believed that litter clearance is a priority, especially on a site of such importance.

With that in mind, a litter picking and open morning event has been arranged for 10am on Sunday, the 21st February 2016 at Chesworth Farm.

People are welcome to come along to the event if for no other reason than to see what can be achieved in a very small period of time and also to see how much litter is scattered in what is a beautiful leisure area.

The other activity that will take place on Saturday, the 19th March, is a Spring Clean of the Volunteer Centre.

Though both these events bracket the planned weekend of the 4th to 6th March 2016, the Friends believe that they should still be seen as part of the Queen’s 90th birthday celebrations.
