Action now against West Beach dunes shenanigans

MY wife and I stopped walking over the sand dunes at West Beach several years ago, as we were both so offended by what goes on up there.

Why has this practice been allowed to continue for many years, without anything ever happening to stop it?

If this area was being used in the same way by straight couples, or if it was being used by prostitutes, or even taken over by naturists, I'm sure some action would have been taken a long time ago to stop it.

But because this is seen as a homosexual issue, we are meant to turn a blind eye, or even allow it to continue. This is not right.

There are laws being broken up there and something should be done to tackle the problem.

If the police or the authorities are not willing to enforce the laws, perhaps they should consider some alternative.

How about fencing off the whole area and declaring it an environmental conservation area under threat of erosion?

Or to declare it as Littlehampton's newest attraction, the world's only gay nudist beach?

It's easy to find, right next to the West Beach visitor centre, ideal for families and youth groups.

Or at least put up some hazard warning signs alerting the public to what is going on.

Please don't judge me as homophobic, as I can assure you I am not. What I am, however, is offended by all acts of sordid, squalid and indecent behaviour in public places.
