Bellmans are excited to announce the sale of approximately 260 lots of antiques and decorative interiors from across Asia. This eclectic and unique collection will go under the hammer on Friday 18th July at 7pm, with the evening getting underway with a drinks reception including Oriental canapés from 5.30pm.

Described as ‘an interior designer’s dream’ by Bellmans saleroom manager William Pasfield, the sale consists primarily of items from the impressive Elizabethan Manor, Stockton House, in Wiltshire, and gives dealers, collectors and novice auction buyers the opportunity to take home a touch of the exotic.

With estimates ranging from £50 to £3,000, the sale invites all budgets, and is a fun opportunity to experience the buzz of a live auction hosted by Bellmans managing director and BBC Bargain Hunt favourite Jonathan Pratt.

Whilst the sun shines, why not invest in one of the garden statuary items which will add interest to any garden. Lot 2250, a terracotta oil jar of fluted globular form, has been described by Mr Pasfield as ‘the best I’ve ever seen’, in light of its atypical form and ‘unusual patination’, and carries a sale estimate of £400-600.

Also exciting potential buyers is lot 2205 (illustrated), eleven Sawankholok pottery roof finials thought to date from the 14th century, which have been mounted on metal stands, and would lend a sense of history to any interior for an estimated £200-300.

Or to add a touch of flamboyance, two rickshaws (lots 2033 and 2034) are an auction first for Bellmans, and perfectly reflect the fun of the evening.
