Congratulations to all involved

The Stables' first production of 2016, Jeeves and Wooster (not forgetting Seppings) in Perfect Nonsense was a delight.

Stuart Miller as Bertie was excellent, he engaged the audience with the story in minutes and made us laugh.

Rob Hustwayte was a stately Jeeves and (among others) a convincing Stiffy Bing.

The scene where he played Stiffy and Sir Watkin was marvellous.

However, Johnny Magnanti as Seppings stole the show for me.

As Jeeves and Wooster drove to Totley Towers, Magnanti was the human sound effect of various obstacles, his level crossing being particularly effective.

At Totley Towers he skilfully played the horrendous and hilarious Roderick Spode.

This play was directed by Chris Lacey who can always be relied on to present accessible and entertaining productions.

Congratulations to all at the Stables who were involved in putting on this funny and memorable play.
