The Scotland Cricket Team is in Pool A for the opening games and in their group are India, Pakistan and Papua New Guinea. Stuart will be flying out to Sri Lanka on the 30 January for pre-tournament training.

Stuart, a former Christ’s Hospital pupil (05-12), has enjoyed huge success following his selection to the Sussex CC Academy whilst at school. He topped the Independent Schools bowling table by claiming the highest number of wickets for the Christ’s Hospital team. Just before leaving CH, he was picked to play for the MCC Schools vs England Schools Cricket Association at Lord’s when he was in the company of some top players as well as playing at the home of England’s cricket. He has also recently been bowling indoors against the England Lions team at Loughborough University.

In his early years, (04-12), he played cricket (right arm bowler) for Roffey Cricket Club in Horsham. He is currently playing for Horsham CC in the Sussex Premier League.

Currently, in his second year at Loughborough University reading History and Politics, Stuart said: “It has always been my intention to concentrate on playing to fulfil my dream of becoming a professional cricketer. This winter I have been awarded an Academy Plus contract for the forthcoming season with Sussex CC which has hopefully brought me a step closer to realizing my goal.

“I am relishing the opportunity to represent Scotland and to be playing against some of the best U19 cricketers in the world. I would like to thank Mr Holdsworth and Christ’s Hospital School for their ongoing support and encouragement.”
