There are several reports now which suggest that Covid-19 came from a Wuhan laboratory.

Clearly, if so, China is liable for its negligence and should meet the cost.

The economic cost can be calculated but the cost to individuals is incalculable. Should the Communist

Chinese Government fail to accept its responsibility, which is likely, the West should pull out from its commercial involvement with China and apply sanctions.

We must appreciate the difficulties here, but we have to face up to the fact that involvement with China has done more harm than good to this and future generations in the West and the underdeveloped countries in the Third World.

This generation has been spoiled beyond belief turning a blind eye to the pollution caused by our throwaway society and taking advantage of cheap labour in poorly regulated countries. Now, the day of reckoning is here.

Do we have the guts to deal with it or are we going to kick the can down the road for future generations to clear up the mess?

Are we going to continue to ‘give away’ our crown jewels for any short term gain?

We must start by facing up to China which must either pay the cost and reform or be treated as a pariah.

Are our politicians up to it? Are we up to it?
