Don’t move our leisure centre

How much more of our money is Arun District Council going to waste on so-called consultants,coming up with potential sites for a new pool and sports centre?

I really thought we’d heard the last of this, but here we go again!

Some of these councillors just don’t get it. Leave the pool and sports centre where it is, in Sea Road.

I, and thousands of other local residents, have already said as much. By all means, give the centre a facelift and replace the Sports Dome, apart from that, leave it alone.

Arun cabinet member councillor Paul Dendle states he would like a new pool and sports centre at Daisy Fields, where residents who are obese and unfit, and don’t have too far to travel.

With the Sea Road centre always extremely busy, what we do need is another centre.

With all the thousands of homes being built and the millions of pounds made by the developers, get them to build a new one.

Leave the existing complex where it is!
