Housing preferable to any supermarket

I FEEL that Littlehampton does not need another supermarket, though I have nothing against Morrisons in particular.

There is already a Lidl, a Sainsbury’s, a Tesco and a Co-op (in Wick), as well as a Waitrose to come, and a Sainsbury’s and Co-op in Rustington.

The old Body Shop in Wick was build on land which was previously housing, therefore I feel that the land should be converted back to housing use. This would leave the fields at the other end of Courtwick Lane as fields, instead of adding to the urban sprawl.

We do not need any more industrial units, either, as there are plenty of vacant industrial units on the many nearby industrial estates which don’t appear to be able to find businesses prepared to rent them.

Residents are being told about the need to build things, when really the motive is pure profit.
